ALI recently signed a memorandum of agreement with sister company Manila Water Corporation (MWC) which formalizes the companies’ commitment to “jointly develop and operate a water and wastewater utility service company that will serve Ayala Land Group’s real estate developments south of Manila, including the Ayala Land Group’s showcase community – Nuvali.”

According to the disclosure submitted by MWC to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), a joint venture company to be led and managed by key officers from ALI and MWC will be organized to fully direct, control, and formulate policies for the said operations.

The joint project will likewise allow ALI and MWC to “leverage on their key strengths and core competencies, providing synergies in establishing a competent and reliable organization that will provide world-class water and wastewater services to its customers that will ensure quality living and enhance sustainable communities.”

Present during the signing were ALI and MWC top management led by ALI President and CEO Tony Aquino and MWC President Rene Almendras.
